Hopefully we up our game for the replay otherwise we are going out.

Why Bilic brought Valencia on when he did fucking astounds me.

Marston Hammer 4:06 Mon Mar 14 and a few others.

Watch the clip that was posted earlier in the thread. Watch it a few times.

You will see that the Roja has two points of contact with Payet, and that Payet was NOT going down before contact.

So many blind cunts on here lately.

I have no problem that the ref didn't see it and hence no penalty, that happens. But to falsely accuse one of our own players of diving is massively CUNTISH in my humble etc.

Is that OM and Davies I've just seen next to each other in the crowd?

Re: Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-1
Just watching it back. The penalty incident is definitely one where you'd have the right hump if given against you but you can see there is some kind of contact. The foul for the free kick though, not sure what the issue is there. It's a foul.

I thought we were going to socre with one of them corners at the end. At least it kept the ball down there.

They also were summed up after what was our 4th corner in quick succession in injury time they eventually got a goal kick, which was the last kick of the game, to which they celebrated....

Bet Fergie was LIVID.

Link? Don't mind admitting I'm wrong if there's another angle i haven't seen

Their fans were summed up by one blokes response to us singing 'We'll race you back to London'

He stuck his fingers up (one on each hand) to signify the scoreline as if he was proud his team managed to hold us to a draw.

Capitol Man 4:25 Mon Mar 14
Re: Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-1
but that wasn't actually the only contact. There's another angle that they didn't show here that shows the utd player's thigh clipping his trailing leg which acts like an anckle tap. That motion you mention was the secondary motion not the primary contact.

Re: Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-1
Their fans were shocking. Highlight was the bloke getting kicked out for trying to give it large about how many titles they've won.

How loud did the crowd seem on TV?

Did united sing much?

I could only hear them saying attack attack attack a min before teir goal went in, and a small burst for 20 seconds in the first half.

Even when they scored and equaliser the sound of bubbles was the loudest of the day

Marston Hammer 4:07 Mon Mar 14
Re: Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-1
As for the free kick it was similar to a couple Reid had in the first half. You're just far less likely to get them given in attacking positions - you certainly wouldn't get that decision in the penalty area.

Contact doesn't always mean foul.

If you watch the slow motion replay on the link above and keep stop/starting it you'll see he's already on the way down when the contact happens. And the point of contact is the sole of Payet's boot on the defenders thighs. That wouldn't have happened if the tackle was the reason Payet went down.

What fucking game were you watching?!

If our free kick wasn't a free kick, then I assume it wasn't a free kick when Payet was through on goal and the defender fell over?

Re: Man Utd v West Ham - Official Match Thread FT 1-1

Anticipated a touch that didn't come? The defender made contact. It was a foul and I would think it was a foul no matter who it was for.

Also our free kick wasn't even a free kick? Again that's a foul. You could maybe argue it's soft but a foul is a foul.

I couldn't disagree with you more on this.

Re the Payet penalty That sanctimonious little twerp Michael Owen seemed to suggest that because Payet played for it, it somehow should not count and, lost in the noise of quite bewildering pro Man United diatribe, was Howard Webb's assessment that, "yes he may well have played for it, but the contact is there and the penalty should have been awarded"

The failure by the officials to spot Schweinsteiger's double offence (offside and block on the keeper) does make me wonder what the linesmen especially are looking at

It's our cup. Beat the Mancs and no-one to fear in this draw. Irons!
